Today’s Digital Minds Conference
unofficially kicked off the London Book Fair 2013. Philip Jones’ opening piece in The Bookseller reflects the mood and metaphors floating through the air. It seems the book industry moguls (and author, Neil Gaiman) consider us in the midst of a great apocalypse!
From The Bookseller:
“Books as sharks, publishers as dinosaurs, digital as climate change, and dandelions, were just some of the descriptions and metaphors used at Digital Minds to characterise the state of play in the book business at the annual pre-London Book Fair digital conference.”
Now in its fifth year The Digital Minds Conference has become a must-attend precursor to the Fair itself, for all those serious about the future of their content businesses in the digital now.
The conference will consider in depth how the publishing industry is evolving, innovating, reinventing, and working with new players, new approaches, new benefits and new communities.
