Michael Jackson’s mother, Katherine, is self-publishing a family-album-style coffee table book of photographs and reminiscences of her son from her personal archive this week. The book is entitled, Never Can Say Good Bye: The Katherine Jackson Story. She is self-publishing the book with the help of Vintage Pop Media in both hardback print and ebook editions.
The hardback edition, priced at $59.99, will come bundled with the separately available ebook, priced at $8.99, (are you listening mainstream publishers?) and will contain 150 colour pages of previously unseen photographs of Jackson punctuated with anecdotes, quotes and reminiscences from Katherine Jackson.
From what I can gather from the current information available, the book can only be purchased from the Michael Jackson Secret Vault website. The following quote from Katherine Jackson on the website:

“I wanted to release a tribute book about Michael to thank his fans for all their love and support over the years…” Katherine states, in an effort to clear the air of negative press that surrounded Jackson’s life, “My son has been misunderstood and this was my way to share what kind of person he really was.”

Some of the proceeds from her book will be donated to ‘a good cause’, though there are no specifics on what percentage of profits would be donated or what charities would be selected.

“I wanted to give a portion of the book to charity because that’s the way Michael would have wanted it.”

Katherine Jackson.
